Foodthink has joined forces with the farmers at the Beijing Organic Farmers’ Market to share a collection of ‘New Year feast recipes’ using their own home-grown produce.

You won’t find measurements down to the gram or the minute here, nor any showy, complicated techniques.

Instead, you’ll find a quiet certainty and confidence in the ingredients, alongside humble, family-style advice.

When produce is grown with care, there’s no need to overthink cooking it. A straightforward, relaxed method, prepared to just the right temperature, is all that’s needed.

Behind every dish in this collection stands a real person—
the farmers who know exactly what makes their ingredients special, and how to prepare them in a way that truly honours their quality.

When a block of tofu has a name, a chicken has a known history, and a radish is so good you’re told not to peel it—delicious flavour simply follows.

From the second to the seventh day of the New Year, six farmers share one feast dish each day.

Day Two of the New Year: Aromatic Steamed Free-Range Pork
Day Three of the New Year: Super Stir-Fried Chicken

Grow with care, cook with ease, eat with peace of mind.
